The potential uncovering of valuable resources such as copper, cobalt, lead, and silver could yield substantial economic benefits, including job creation, infrastructure development, and enhanced shareholder value.
Recent advancements have been made with Aeon Metals Limited’s exploration efforts at its Walford Creek Project, situated merely 3.6km from the boundary of Superior’s tenement. Notably, Aeon’s drilling activities have unveiled substantial mineralization of copper, cobalt, lead, and silver, as detailed in their ASX announcement dated 15 June 2018. This discovery highlights the mineralogical potential extending towards the Walford Creek West area within Superior’s tenement.
Surface investigations have revealed a pronounced soil lead anomaly at Walford Creek West, closely associated with an underlying gravity structure. This correlation suggests that the gravity anomaly may represent a significant mineralized body, warranting further exploration focus. Such geological features are indicative of Mount Isa Style sulphide mineralization, encompassing copper, lead, zinc, and cobalt, and suggest a complex, multi-element system.
In response to these findings, Superior has diligently compiled and analysed existing geological data surrounding the Fish River Fault. This comprehensive data review is instrumental in shaping a preliminary field inspection strategy and designing a maiden exploration program tailored to the Walford Creek West Prospect. The aim is to systematically explore and delineate the mineral potential of this promising area, leveraging the insights gained from adjacent properties and the emerging geochemical and geophysical anomalies identified within our tenement.
