The Greenvale Project, situated in North Queensland and fully owned by Superior, stands as the northernmost stretch of the Ordovician Macquarie Arc, dubbed the Lucky Creek Corridor. This extensive project encompasses a landscape filled with Ordovician-period volcanic and intrusive rocks, which bear a striking resemblance to the geology found in the famed Ordovician porphyry copper belt of New South Wales, renowned for hosting major mines such as Cadia and North Parkes with substantial porphyry copper-gold deposits.
With its diverse range of prospects, the Greenvale Project holds promising potential for significant mineral discoveries, including porphyry copper-gold, high-grade orogenic gold, and magmatic nickel-copper-PGE sulphide deposits. Recent exploration activities have yielded significant results, particularly at the Bottletree and Cockie Creek prospects. The Greenvale Project delineates the northern extent of the Ordovician Macquarie Arc through the Lucky Creek Corridor, under the sole proprietorship of Superior. It encompasses a geologically rich area of volcanic and intrusive rocks from the Ordovician era, mirroring the type and age of those found in New South Wales’ prolific porphyry copper belt, which includes the substantial Cadia and North Parkes porphyry copper mines.
The Greenvale Project has been expanded to include a diverse range of Mineral Provinces and prospects, each with its own unique potential.

Covering 2,307 sq km, the Greenvale Project’s strategic location is further augmented by the nearby Kidston Clean Energy Hub, ensuring a renewable energy source for future endeavours with a transmission line being constructed through the centre of the project area. Superior’s exploration efforts have validated the project as a significant site for diverse mineral deposits, including several porphyry systems with Tier-1 potential, akin to the geological setting of the world-class Cadia and Ridgeway deposits in New South Wales and nickel sulphide systems akin to the major Norilsk deposits.
Recent exploration, especially drilling programs at Bottletree and Cockie Creek, has provided promising results, underscoring the project’s capacity for substantial porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum and high-grade gold discoveries. Looking ahead, Superior’s exploration strategy is set to delve deeper into the magmatic nickel-copper-PGE sulphide province within the project, with an expanded tenure base pinpointing areas with potential for Norilsk/Voisey’s Bay-style mineralisation systems.
Superior continues to advance the Steam Engine gold development project and exploration across the Greenvale Project, with ongoing drilling programs, geophysical surveys, and metallurgical studies aimed at further defining and expanding the known mineralisation across multiple prospects.
