The Brisbane-based company has a dominant position within the Greenvale Ordovician porphyry belt and nickel-copper-PGE province and the Carpentaria Zinc Province. The Carpentaria Zinc Province is one of the world’s richest zinc and lead producing regions, within which, the Company holds multiple Tier-1 potential exploration projects.
At Greenvale, the Company holds ground covering the majority of the Ordovician sequences in the region, which includes at least four significant copper-gold porphyry and VMS prospects, a developing high-grade gold deposit (Steam Engine) and a regionally large Voisey’s Bay style magmatic sulphide nickel-copper-PGE prospect. The Greenvale project is located around 210 km west-northwest of Townsville, lying within terrain considered to be the northernmost extension of the Macquarie Arc and in close proximity to the Kidston, Balcooma, Surveyor and Dry River deposits.
A significant development at Greenvale is the recent drilling at the Cockie Creek Porphyry Copper Prospect, which in January 2024 unveiled substantial high-grade Cu-Au-Mo mineralisation. Recent drilling has revealed a rapidly expanding zone of porphyry mineralisation, with the latest hole CCDD007 delivering the broadest width of porphyry copper and gold mineralisation to date in the western part of the prospect.
At the Bottletree Copper Prospect, the Company reported results from three drill holes completed in 2023, which have enabled the development of a new 3D geological and mineralisation model confirming the continuity of porphyry-style mineralisation within a broad zone associated with the Discovery Outcrop gossan. The Company was awarded a $300,000 Collaborative Exploration Initiative (CEI) critical minerals grant for drilling two deep holes targeting a modelled porphyry core at Bottletree during the 2024 field season.
The Company continues to progress a Feasibility Study on the Steam Engine Gold Project, which currently has a Mineral Resource of up to 196,000 oz Au @ 1.5 g/t Au.
Elsewhere, the Company’s Nicholson Project also hosts several Tier 1-potential Mount Isa style zinc-lead-silver-copper prospects. It is located around 90 km north-north-west of the Century Zinc Mine and a few kilometres south of the Walford Creek Copper Project.
Superior’s Victor Project, located 150 km north-west of the prolific Mount Isa Mine, has significant surface indications of zinc and lead coincident with regionally large potential graben structures, suggesting it could play host to the next Mount Isa-style project.
In addition to the Company’s 100%-owned Hedleys Uranium Project, the Company maintains an exposure in Deep Yellow Limited (ASX:DYL). As of March 31, 2024, the Company held 74,244 shares with a closing value of $99,115.74.
