Inca Project

Inca Project Location - Click to Enlarge The Inca Project lies 110km northwest of Mount Isa and consists of two granted exploration permits (EPM15732 and EPM16027) and one exploration permit application (EPM18843) totalling 1170 square kilometres.

Previous exploration within the area has given little encouragement for base metals but there is a considerable amount of shallow cover in the area and the area is strongly leached. The Mount Isa to Camooweal road crosses the target zone. This road has recently being upgraded and this has resulted in better exposure of rocks in the area.

In addition to previous base metal exploration considerable exploration for phosphate has previously been completed around the Inca Project area and some phosphate has been reported from drilling in both the eastern and western parts of the area. The best intersection from this drilling is 5.3m @ 16.5% P205 from hole 43 drilled in the Yelvertoft area by IMC.

The area contains rocks that are equivalent to those of the upper Mount Isa Group with a considerable cover of Cambrian sediments. Superior's principal target in the area is a Mount Isa style base metal deposit. Phosphate is also a target in the area.

In July 2007 Superior completed VTEM surveys over three parts of the Inca Project. High order VTEM anomalies were obtained from the Buckley River area (EPM16027).

Buckley Prospect

Buckley Prospect Conductivity - Click to Enlarge Some follow-up work on the VTEM anomalies and limited previous drilling by MIM indicate that conductive graphitic siltstones explain at least some of the VTEM anomalies. Further investigations are required to determine if some of the conductivity anomalies in areas of no outcrop are related to mineralisation.

Phosphate

Previous drilling by IMC reported phosphate intersections at the Yelvertoft Prospect within EPM15732. The best intersection from this drilling is 5.3m @ 16.5% P205 from hole 43. Records of some of the previous phosphate drilling are poor and results have not yet been located for some of the previously drilled phosphate holes.

The Yelvertoft Prospect lies approximately halfway between the DTree and Sherrin Creek phosphate deposits. This combined with the intersection in hole 43 suggests good potential for phosphate at this prospect.

Superior's main focus is on the discovery of copper (and lead-zinc-silver) and therefore a partner is being sought to fund further phosphate exploration at the Yelvertoft Prospect.
