Following a drilling program in 2009 the Elizabeth Prospect is no longer considered to have potential for diamonds. The circular feature with and associated gravity low feature is now considered to be a large collapse feature on which a lake developed. The collapse feature apparently resulted from intensive leaching of carbonate (dolomite) rocks possible by acid generated by the near surface oxidation of sulphides.
